Once dawn breaks around 6 AM, the weather effects from the night before fade as well. Today the sun is shining, and the temperature is hot and muggy, but the air is still and there isn't a cloud in the sky.
If you return to zone zero, you'll note that most of the supplies have been cleared, though there still appear to be crates inside the hut on the beach.
(OOC: When starting a thread, please put in your header the following: ZONE # - TIME - AREA. This will hopefully make it easier for everyone to keep track of which character is where.
Please remember to update the Weekly Check-in with your character's planned movements.
Please expect another arena event around nightfall.)Setting

[A string of curses floats on the wind as Harriet runs down the sand. Throwing a glance behind her, it seems that she wasn't followed. As the cabins are in sight, she ducks behind one of them for a moment to catch her breath. Her clothes are soaked with a mixture of blood and sea water, and her knuckles are white from gripping weapons. She's frustrated that she had to retreat... but without knowing how long Mayu's regeneration would last, it wasn't worth the potential for injury and exhaustion. She was confident that she would have been able to defeat her regardless, but it would mean nothing if she was too hurt to defend herself from everyone else on these godforsaken isles. She'd just have to hope that whatever Mayu had taken would wear off eventually, enough for her to finish the job. If only there were someone around who knew what that suspicious fluid was...!!]
3 pm, Meadow
[After cleaning herself up as best she could, she eventually heads south and is surprised to discover a field of flowers. After everything that had happened, their sweet smell is somewhat soothing. Maybe she never took well to being the Rose Duelist, but she does like white blossoms. She can't afford to dawdle here, but... what the hell, she'll travel alongside them. She thinks she looks scary enough right now that people would think twice about attacking her, anyway. Still, if she does spot someone, she'll give them a nod to indicate that she means no harm. One fight was enough for today, and for her part at least, she does not intend to start one yet.]
4 pm, Cabin near Zone 3
[A private beach on one side, flowers on the other, and target practice with an arrow... this place is intriguing. She decides to look around the place in detail. After all, if there's one arrow, there might be more, and maybe even a bow somewhere....]
12:30PM
Souji has taken to since Mayu ran off continuing his search for things of use. Weapons, water since his canteen was definitely fucked with...food.
But the weapons seems a great deal more tricky to obtain. However, without his swords, he's decided that rather than going for more typical things, he'd kick around and try to be creative.
That's probably the only reason he actually encounters her when he does, that he's kicking around the exterior perimeters of them kicking and looking at things that strike his fancy.
He glances up when he hears the sound of wet clothes and footsteps running before abruptly stopping with a light knock against something—probably whatever is being used to catch their breath now that they are away from where they were running from.
Getting up from his crouch, Souji moves to the end of the cabin wall side he is on and peers around the corner. When he spots her, he proceeds to move fully around the corner, immediately speaking up.
Even though he's not concerned, this will at least avoid her from any reflexive actions like her trying to take seeing at him because she didn't notice he was there. ]
You sure are looking like a mess today.

How kind of you to notice! I certainly found one to get into...
[Her tone is flippant to match with his, but her face is still pretty sour. It occurs to her, though, that she shouldn't keep quiet about what had happened. She may have to swallow some of her pride, but the more eyes on the girl, the better it will be for Harriet when the time comes to try again.]
Mayu Amakura has turned herself into some sort of undying hellspawn. I'd rather I knew more about that before I cast off my life in revenge.
[First the fake tip, now this. Everything's trying to rain on her murder parade!]

He shrugs with an almost innocent nature at her sarcasm—he's just the kindest they come, he understands he is a unique snowflake and will accept all of the gratitude—but when she suddenly spits out that next amount of info, his demeanor goes from at ease to sudden concerned serious. Brows creased downward and a rather overall now unamused look, his eyes squint slightly... as if trying to read off of her more supporting details for what has been just announced. ]
...Come again? And, how do you expect to get that knowledge when there's no one else from her world?
[ at least he assumes it must be some shit from her world. He hasn't exactly learned of the fact that the sponsors send gifts (and tipoffs for the revenge-starved...) yet. Even if he did, he'd still not expect it to be anything anyone around would actually have useful information on out here.
This is interesting, though. Considering the Mayu he saw earlier was already a problem in the sense she'd definitely resorted to killing while in her weak human state...
...an unkillable hellspawn, she says. ]

Hm...
[She takes a moment to calm herself down before she responds, forcing a smile to seem more confident than she is after turning tail.]
Best case scenario, whatever potion she took wears off on its own and Bob's your uncle. If not... I'm certain I won't be the only one that'll be interested in trying to kill her eventually. The power to regenerate is not one you'll want around in any circumstance. [The rest goes without saying. She'll form a temporary alliance with them, or if that doesn't seem possible, she'll find a way to watch their attempts in secret. ...He might even be interested himself, based on his demeanor, but she's not going to push her luck. She looks away after that, halfway over her shoulder toward the beach where she came.]
Anyway, if it's the first one, I should be able to tell. Her appearance changed when she presumably drank it. Strikingly so, in fact...
[Her face slips back into looking serious again at the memory. Those crimson eyes full of madness were fiercer than many of the duel monsters she'd faced on the battlefield. She had to admit, it made an impression.]
... But I have a feeling it may not be so simple as all that.
no subject
That is worth something all on its own. Although he doesn't really understand some of her speech patterns as he has never heard the sayings before, he can still easily pick up on the important descriptors.
...which are only a few, so far, but already the similarities are hard not to take notice of. ]
...Go on. [ don't stop now, he's interested. ]
no subject
Ah, it's just a hunch. My luck's never that good, unless I'm playing cards.
Or if you wanted to know what the changes were? Her hair turned bright white, and her eyes were red, like the color of blood almost. She was faster too, I think it healed her bad leg on top of the injuries I gave her. But faster than I would have expected, even then.
[....and then it occurs to her that Souji hasn't made any comment on the fact that she's openly admitted to trying to kill Mayu. Perhaps it's just how he is, or his world. But Harriet, not so long ago, would have been shocked if the tables were turned. How innocence fades.
Anyway, where was she. She was in the middle of an explanation.]
...Uhh, she was probably stronger too? And definitely gone mad. More than before, amazingly. I think she was trying to eat me.
[which sounds like a joke, but for once, it actually kind of isn't. It was pretty disturbing.]
no subject
Souji has little remorse for those he isn't loyal to and if Mayu is actively killing to get back home, then even less reason for him to care if this girl does the same to her. Besides, they look around the same age, so it's probably even fiercer than one would naturally suspect.
Harriet did also mention revenge.
As he listens, Souji's demeanor grows darker, although there is a clearer sense of surprise along with it the more she lists. That does all add up and sound uncanny to ochimizu, but how and where would she have gotten that?
...Trying to eat her, huh? ]
Drink your blood? Did you see what this potion looked like? Red?
no subject
His reactions aren't entirely out of place, for someone hearing what Harriet's saying for the first time. It was just as surprising for her that Mayu had such a thing as her trump card. The questions, however, are getting a bit specific. And they're right on the mark, which is curious. Has he seen these bottles before?]
How did you know?
no subject
Finally, he seems to refocus on her in particular, having drifted for a few seconds. There's only one way to know for sure? ]
...Because it sounds exactly like something that is from my world. But, where...
[ normally he wold to be so easy to openly admit to this considering it's not supposed to be let out that the Shinsengumi had anything to do with it, but this is not really a situation where he can truly feel any threat from it in some far off random world in a game. ]
no subject
[She stares a bit... clearly that was not the answer she was expecting, either, though it's somewhat reassuring that there isn't some secret trove of potions that only she was unaware of. As for where Mayu could have gotten something like that... she thinks about it, but there's nothing concrete. Her sponsors gave her nothing but misdirection, so she can't say for sure if it could have come from them or not.]
Dunno, mate. Other than that shack on the volcanic island, I haven't heard of any place to get more weapons, let alone ones from our worlds. I suppose it could've been that audience they spoke of, but... there seems to be a lot wrong with that.
[Why would the audience know what things from Souji's world are? Why would they give them to Mayu instead? It's rather puzzling. BUT, not ultimately what she cares about, so she moves on]
Ah, but if you're familiar with it, then... can you tell me what you know?
3pm
What are you nodding for?
[ No one ever said he was a friendly guy. ]
no subject
Sorry, they don't do nonverbal greetings where you're from?
[She actually does sound a bit bewildered, because who even knows with him, but. Seriously. Why do you think?]
no subject
[ A beat. ]
But I also know I'm no supposed to greet strangers nonverbally.
no subject
[It's a joke. She expects him to pass.]
no subject
Only if you pretend you're my dad.
[ May or may not be trolling now, sorry... ]
no subject
That's an interesting kink.

[...She's not as incredulous about this as she could be, actually. She never did get to meet her own.]
no subject
I already have an acquaintance from work here. He's my partner.
no subject
...And she really doesn't feel the need to ask if he has any friends instead.]
I suppose there's hardly any choice. Which of your parents are you closer with?
[When did she decide to go along with this...?]
no subject
[ ha! take that. ]
They died when I was really young.
[ and for someone who usually doesn't show emotion, sougo looks pretty annoyed and exasperated just talking about it. he stretches his neck, and then massages the back of his shoulder. ]

Ah, say no more. It's neither for me, as well.
[well, her mother wasn't dead the last time she saw her, but close would not be how she'd describe them. And now that her universe has imploded from unstable timeline, there was nothing more to be said or done. Anyway, they've been talking long enough with his hand off the machete that she feels fairly secure there won't be a battle, so she'll finally resume her walk. He's welcome to come along.]
no subject
[ Yup. He's definitely following. MAY AS WELL STALK HER. Or something. It's not like he has anything better to do. :') ]
