Once dawn breaks around 6 AM, the weather effects from the night before fade as well. Today the sun is shining, and the temperature is hot and muggy, but the air is still and there isn't a cloud in the sky.
If you return to zone zero, you'll note that most of the supplies have been cleared, though there still appear to be crates inside the hut on the beach.
(OOC: When starting a thread, please put in your header the following: ZONE # - TIME - AREA. This will hopefully make it easier for everyone to keep track of which character is where.
Please remember to update the Weekly Check-in with your character's planned movements.
Please expect another arena event around nightfall.)Setting

Ah, say no more. It's neither for me, as well.
[well, her mother wasn't dead the last time she saw her, but close would not be how she'd describe them. And now that her universe has imploded from unstable timeline, there was nothing more to be said or done. Anyway, they've been talking long enough with his hand off the machete that she feels fairly secure there won't be a battle, so she'll finally resume her walk. He's welcome to come along.]

[ Yup. He's definitely following. MAY AS WELL STALK HER. Or something. It's not like he has anything better to do. :') ]

I just thought I'd see what's on the other side of the meadow. Yesterday and this morning, I was a bit too preoccupied to really explore the islands...
[She wasn't able to completely wash out the blood staining her clothes from her fight with Mayu, and finding her partner dead was another highlight of yesterday that would be easy enough to surmise. She doesn't feel the need to explain what 'preoccupied' meant.]

Did you kill your partner?
[ Whoops. ]

Sorry to disappoint, but no. Silver was a friend.

That's boring.

Do you think so? Well, I wasn't planning to do it myself, but I'm not so amused that someone else killed him. I suppose in that sense you're right.
With luck, she'll die painfully from the poison she took to end our fight.
["poison" is a bit of a metaphor, but it sounded like the ochimizu wasn't a good thing by any means. Even if she didn't mean to force her to take it, it just serves her right.]

The two of you fought, but you didn't kill her?
[ Weak!!! ]

It's not like that. She had a potion that gave her enhanced physical abilities and regeneration. Couldn't kill her no matter how many times I sliced her up. Cheating bullshit. The other Okita said it's an item from his world, and it'll use up her life force eventually. Technically, she died the moment she took it, and is now some kind of vampire thing.
[which at least explains why she has a bite mark on her arm.]
... The punchline of this is that she's weak to silver.
[Harriet kind of wants to get her hands on some to kill her with. That's what they call poetic justice.]
