Overnight, the temperature drops to around freezing point as the wind begins to pick up. The change may come as a relief in the early hours of morning as the muggy heat and humidity from the previous days is swept away. By 10AM however, you may begin wishing for the heat back as the chill begins to set in and the wind gets stronger. From noon to 3PM in Zones 0 and 1, tornadoes begin touching down; they aren't strong enough to cause massive damage, but they will cause debris to fly around at fast enough speeds to severely injure or even kill anyone in its way. Zones 3 and 4 will be continuously pelted by golf-ball sized hail from morning to mid afternoon. By 5PM, all of the more dangerous weather conditions seem to have mostly cleared up, though the strong winds and chill remains.

As the sun rises, an announcement plays:

Good morning, contestants! Today, Zone 2 is off-limits. If you're in Zone 2, you have an hour to leave it!

Also, we've been getting complaints that some of you might not be appreciating your fans enough! To show you just how important their support is, we've released a little bug into the air today. Not enough to kill anyone, of course - we wouldn't want to take over any of the real action here - but it might make your life inconvenient and shorter unless you start winning a few sponsorships.

Speaking of which, it's the fifth day, so you all know what that means! That's right, it's time for Five Fun Funerals! Anyone who kills one of the following five people will get double the sponsorship prizes! And your five volunteers aaaaarrrrreeee....Nui Harime, Norway, Saitou Hajime, Souji Okita, and Bakura! Have fun!

True to these words, an hour from sunrise, the tunnel and trail to Zone 2 will be locked off by a thick metal gate and the rope bridge will be snapped. The rest of the arena is still accessible, including Zone 4 where the gates from yesterday have gone down.

Additionally, all remaining players will start to feel a little sick and feverish when they wake up. Unless they acquire the cure through a sponsorship, the symptoms will quickly get worse as the day goes on. The disease seems to be similar to the common flu: symptoms include fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, coughing, stuffed nose, weakness, etc.

(OOC: When starting a thread, please put in your header the following: ZONE # - TIME - AREA. This will hopefully make it easier for everyone to keep track of which character is where.

Zone 1 - North Cliffs - 1PM - Locked to Nui

[After his discussion with Harriet, the two part ways. Kyouya is on his guard, but he's also looking for targets. He knows very well the five so-called targets will be especially on edge. He isn't intending to get himself in a situation where he'll be caught by any of them unawares.]

[flatview]

[ Kyouya can suddenly hear the sharp twang of a blade being unsheathed with little to no warning. Behind him, Nui stands with her wakizashi in hand, looking...well, pretty rough considering she's sick as a dog and paranoid as hell. ]

Oh, what a surprise! It's Mr. Glasses!

[glasshole]

[In a certain respect, this is the worst case scenario, isn't it? Nui Harime is undoubtedly the most violent of the remaining contenders, and perhaps the most dangerous, even if her ranking is relatively low.

But isn't that a good thing? If he really wants to prove himself, and test his abilities, doesn't he want to take out someone dangerous?

He smiles back at her. Even though he is on his guard, he takes pains not to let it show physically, as though, despite the wakizashi, he doesn't register her as a threat at all. Let her wonder why.]

Good afternoon, Miss Harime. You know, I had been hoping we'd have occasion to meet.

Oh? In that case, maybe you can give me one good reason why I shouldn't skewer you like a pig or just toss you off this cliff. ♥

[ She doesn't even care. She's fucking done. This game needs to end and it needs to end now, because she wants to go home and there's blood on her hands already and-- ]

Ten seconds.

[glasshole]

Skewer me? [Unconcerned laughing, placating hands, but he doesn't outpace his ten seconds before he at least gets out the first two words: ]

Haruhi did say you'd react like this. Well, I can't blame you. I'm surprised to see she isn't with you.

Haruhi-chan? What about her?

[ she mentally trips up. Who was Haruhi talking to? ] I've got a target on my back, so it's better this way.

Only that she was looking for you, when I saw her most recently. I'm not sure what the trouble was...she seemed tired, so I offered to help look.

[Will Nui believe the lie that he offered to help look? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter as long as she believes he did see Haruhi.]

Those bite marks on her face look uncomfortable, but she got them for a reason, didn't she? I'm sure, even if there's a target on you, she wouldn't want to be separated from you for long.

Right, sure! I told her I'd find her tomorrow, so unless she developed short-term memory-loss, you're full of shit. ♥ [ No she will not. But she is taking the less obvious bait. ]

Hm? It's the truth, though. [He doesn't seem bothered by the accusation.] It seemed as though something had happened...or at least, that was my assumption, but I didn't ask.

Ah, we're strangers, so you're certainly free to disbelieve me, but it would be troublesome if there was actually an emergency.
