day five

13 players remaining
Overnight, the temperature drops to around freezing point as the wind begins to pick up. The change may come as a relief in the early hours of morning as the muggy heat and humidity from the previous days is swept away. By 10AM however, you may begin wishing for the heat back as the chill begins to set in and the wind gets stronger. From noon to 3PM in Zones 0 and 1, tornadoes begin touching down; they aren't strong enough to cause massive damage, but they will cause debris to fly around at fast enough speeds to severely injure or even kill anyone in its way. Zones 3 and 4 will be continuously pelted by golf-ball sized hail from morning to mid afternoon. By 5PM, all of the more dangerous weather conditions seem to have mostly cleared up, though the strong winds and chill remains.
As the sun rises, an announcement plays:
Good morning, contestants! Today, Zone 2 is off-limits. If you're in Zone 2, you have an hour to leave it!
Also, we've been getting complaints that some of you might not be appreciating your fans enough! To show you just how important their support is, we've released a little bug into the air today. Not enough to kill anyone, of course - we wouldn't want to take over any of the real action here - but it might make your life inconvenient and shorter unless you start winning a few sponsorships.
Speaking of which, it's the fifth day, so you all know what that means! That's right, it's time for Five Fun Funerals! Anyone who kills one of the following five people will get double the sponsorship prizes! And your five volunteers aaaaarrrrreeee....Nui Harime, Norway, Saitou Hajime, Souji Okita, and Bakura! Have fun!
True to these words, an hour from sunrise, the tunnel and trail to Zone 2 will be locked off by a thick metal gate and the rope bridge will be snapped. The rest of the arena is still accessible, including Zone 4 where the gates from yesterday have gone down.
Additionally, all remaining players will start to feel a little sick and feverish when they wake up. Unless they acquire the cure through a sponsorship, the symptoms will quickly get worse as the day goes on. The disease seems to be similar to the common flu: symptoms include fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, coughing, stuffed nose, weakness, etc.
(OOC: When starting a thread, please put in your header the following: ZONE # - TIME - AREA. This will hopefully make it easier for everyone to keep track of which character is where.
Please remember to update the Weekly Check-in with your character's planned movements. Check in is due by Monday at 9 PM)Setting

He rolls one shoulder back in a shrug and keeps his voice and stance as casual as possible.]
Better be careful, I wouldn't put it past those assholes to drop a rockslide on us. [And with that side comment, he seemingly puts it out of his mind.] And you know you don't have to do that creepy invisible spying on us, right kid? If you wanna join in, just pull up a chair and ask.

...I know. I try to, more. But not everyone likes it. Sera doesn't the most. Vivienne next.

[All right, how to handle this? Were he back home, he'd continue on his way, confident in his ability to handle a trap or ambush even after it's been sprung. Here though...he doesn't have his usual weapons or armor, and he's pretty sure even his body's been altered somehow. He's getting hungry a lot more often than he should, that's for damn sure. And with both him and Cole having been affected by the illness, they need all the advantages they can get.
Of course, it might not be a trap. Could just be someone justifiably worried over being noticed by two armed players, one of which is noticeably quite large. In the end, he sighs and comes to a halt, raising a voice.]
That goes for anyone else who just happens be around too. We've got some food to spare. [Not that he wouldn't relish a proper fight, but Cole would probably stab him himself if he wound up accidentally killing someone innocent.]

But that joy is short-lived, since as Bull speaks up to anyone that might be nearby, Cole tenses and looks around too.
...If he could hear like he usually could, this wouldn't be a problem at all. The anxiety and fear would call out to him like a beacon, and he could identify if anyone was nearby at all. He had never really thought he would miss hearing so much if it were to disappear, but now it makes him feel especially vulnerable, like he had in the Spire. ]
Is someone here, The Iron Bull?
