When you first wake up in your room, an announcement will play on the television.

You’ll be spending your first week before the game officially starts at a vast facility that has been completely submerged underwater. This facility consists of a central hub surrounded by four smaller spherical buildings. You can get to each subsection by either taking a shuttle or walking across a long glass tunnel.

[ he spends the majority of the announcement staring at the television itself rather than paying attention to what is on it. Because, really, what is that and how is it showing a moving picture as if it's real?

Around the time the announcers whispers, Souji is trying to stuff his hand behind the back of the TV to see if there is anything worthwhile since he can't get his head behind there. It's only once the broadcast is over, that he peers around at the now blank tv screen and makes a face, arm still behind the TV. Suddenly he feels as if the opportunity to catch something back there is gone. ]

Did that weird guy actually whisper the k-word? [ WHAT IS THE POINT IF THE WHOLE GAME IS ABOUT THAT? ]

[whereas Saitou spends most of that time watching Souji. he's not quite sure what he's looking for - or what he could find, for that matter. but it doesn't hinder him from listening very closely to what the message has to say. it proves to be easier to focus on the message when you don't think too hard about the television itself.

he's trying to wrap his mind around the situation in his own way. which means internally. if that is the purpose of the game, then there's a possibility that they could have an advantage here, but it's pointless to assume that at this point. either way, it's not something worth being concerned over.]

...it would seem so.

[not that Souji's tactful use of 'the k-word' was any less ironic.]

What a shady individual, I would like to give him a piece of my mind.[ well, he hates this place already, so. ]

Hajime-kun, let's just leave, he disappeared from the box.

[ or whatever it is, and Souji is sure that is all there is to it. However, while he wouldn't normally hesitate or otherwise wait for Saitou's opinion, he does for better or for worst experience a delay in heading to the room exit. And it's curtesy of his arm being stuck still behind the tv and not so easily coming out after he goes to pull back.

Not that this deters Souji, as he will just keep pulling like a child with his hand stuck in the cookie jar while holding the prized cookie. ]

[that's one thing they can agree on, even if Saitou would have worded it a bit differently. the whole message left a bad taste in his mouth, leaving him irritated. he would have dwelled on that longer if he hadn't seen Souji having some difficulty extracting his arm from behind the box.

...oh boy.]

Stop pulling, you're going to hurt yourself.

[the last thing he needed was Souji injuring himself because he was too impatient to remove his arm properly.] Just... stop moving. [reaching over, he studied the back of the item and instead, pulled it forward an inch and lifted his arm over the top.]
