week 0 - training facility

When you first wake up in your room, an announcement will play on the television.
You’ll be spending your first week before the game officially starts at a vast facility that has been completely submerged underwater. This facility consists of a central hub surrounded by four smaller spherical buildings. You can get to each subsection by either taking a shuttle or walking across a long glass tunnel.

Need some tips on how to use that?
[If you come in here either at the crack of dawn or late at night, however, you can catch him in the middle of training with either a two-handed greatsword or a battleaxe. He's clearly experienced with both weapons, slicing through friendly robot sparring buddies with ease - and then poking cautiously at their remains with a single finger.]
So uh...what exactly are these things supposed to be, anyway?
no subject
Those are robots! I've met a couple of robots on an investigation before, but I think they were built by someone else. They sure are helpful, aren't they?
no subject
A little too helpful, if you ask me. You sure these uh...robots won't turn on us?
no subject
And he's currently trying to figure out how the he hell he's supposed to be handling this rapier, trying not to have it slip from his hands and embed into another dummy this time.]
Actually, that... would be really helpful.
no subject
Sure, yeah. Uh...just gotta clear up one thing. Are you a demon? [From the way his hand is inching towards a battleaxe, the correct answer here is no.]
no subject
Nope! No demon! I'm just a hedgehog.

But at least as usual, when someone speaks, Cole feels he needs to answer. ]
Armor people. But they're not people.
[ He tilts his head slightly, then asks, ]
Do they hurt if you hit them? It doesn't seem like it.

Magic can sure do some weeeeiiird shit, huh. You ever seen anything like this before, kid?
[He shrugs.] If they do, they sure aren't showing it. They don't bleed or scream and they seem happy enough getting hit by people, so that's good enough for me.
no subject
...No. They weren't ever people. There are the ones that were people once, dead, magic made to move but leaving a mark unseen on the ones that makes them move.
[ Well, even without the connection to the Fade, Cole still says weird shit. Of course he does, since he can't turn that part off... But if there was any confusion about what he means, he looks up to Bull before he adds: ]
Like Dorian. [ But with that explained, he looks back to the robots ] ...But maybe it's just magic to make empty armor move.
