week 0 - training facility

blood match week zero

week zero

When you first wake up in your room, an announcement will play on the television.

You’ll be spending your first week before the game officially starts at a vast facility that has been completely submerged underwater. This facility consists of a central hub surrounded by four smaller spherical buildings. You can get to each subsection by either taking a shuttle or walking across a long glass tunnel.

That is true. [She drops the levity almost immediately, crossing her arms for a moment.]

You need to get a better grip on this weapon style.

[....Or not. That was still kind of a pun, even if she said it in total seriousness. Anyway, she goes over to pull the sword out of the dummy, feeling it out so to speak.]

This sword's not a very good match for you. But, I get the feeling you'll have to improvise with what you can find once we're out there, so...

[she'll offer it back anyway.]

Considering I doubt they're just going to hand my powers back to me... yeah.

[Silver had caused such a mess in their room when he figured out both the Time Stone and his psychokinesis was gone, nearly breaking the TV in the process. He just feels so helpless without them...

He takes the sword back from Harriet, shifting his grip on it. Even though it's one-handed, his small size means he has to hold it with both. It looks a little ridiculous, especially since he's clearly never held a sword before... but that's not a surprise.]

Hmmmmm.....

[Harriet stares at him, holding the sword. It definitely looks ridiculous, but this is no laughing matter. She's also a little unsure - she's never used a two handed sword herself. This could be a problem, so she just keeps on with the intent gaze and trying to compare it with memories of her foes using that kind of a sword style. After a moment, she attempts to take his hands one at a time and rearrange them on the hilt.]

Is. Is this better?

[It may or may not be, to be quite honest.]

[He notices that look and gives her one back, clearly aware of just how stupid he looks holding it. At least she does recognize that it's a serious matter, though...]

I... think? A little bit, maybe?

[He swings it to test out... and it ends up slipping right out of his hands again, clattering against one of the weapon racks.]

...actually, let's go with no.
whiterosefoes: (the flowers were drugged!?)

Fuck.

[Harriet groans, running a hand through her hair. SHE HAS NO IDEA THEN.]

All right, looks like you may need to try the instructional videos. ... And me as well.

[because what if the only weapon she comes across is a giantass claymore or something]
temporalguardian: (Would you go change the past?)

[personal profile] temporalguardian 2015-03-09 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
That's probably the best idea.

[Cripes... why the hell did they have to take his and Harriet's powers if they wanted them to actually do this properly?]

[it must be because time manipulation is a bitch to catch on film]

Hopefully it won't be more than a few minutes. Let's go.
temporalguardian: (And every night I will be with you)

[They could still try!]

Depends on how in-depth they are.
