week 0 - training facility

When you first wake up in your room, an announcement will play on the television.
You’ll be spending your first week before the game officially starts at a vast facility that has been completely submerged underwater. This facility consists of a central hub surrounded by four smaller spherical buildings. You can get to each subsection by either taking a shuttle or walking across a long glass tunnel.

His gaze briefly sweeps over the games that are around, returns to the movie briefly (somehow the magic wears off when you realize you're going to be missing a metric ton of pop references), and then back to Harriet.]
Harriet! I've never known a Harriet before, so I guess that'll make you the comparison. Not the least bit shifty! Hopefully if I meet any others, they won't be, either. [SHIFTY HARRIETS. But he laughs after that, raising one hand.]
I'm glad to do my name a bit of justice, though. It's a good one, I think!

Well, it's not bad. There's a lot of you, so it rather varies.
[She doesn't comment on herself being the point of comparison...Because if this killing game plays out, he won't be able to meet another Harriet (shifty or otherwise!) unless it's over her dead body. She can't exactly wish him luck. Maybe luck breaking the game. This seems like a good time to change the subject. Harriet takes a quick glance around. The movie doesn't seem to hold his interest anymore...]
... Do you like games?

But the question seems to garner his attention again succinctly. With a nod of "HELL YEAH":]
I do! Oh, but I'm not sure I would know how to play any of the ones here... Chess is a favorite, though!

[A bit cheekily:] Do you fancy Blackjack?

You'll have to explain it, since the name doesn't sound familiar. I do like card games, though!
[Since blackjack was only around in its earliest forms in the 1700s, which sure is where Grandpa Jack here comes from.]
