The morning the game starts, all pairs will be escorted from their rooms by friendly robot buddies into their own underwater shuttle waiting to take them to the arena. Should anyone try to resist, the collar around their neck will start beeping ominously and their friendly robot escort will become a lot less friendly and a lot more forceful. While in the shuttle, each player will be stripped of whatever clothing or items they have on them. The robot buddies will give each player the following:
- a uniform consisting of a light water-resistant jacket, a t-shirt with the words BLOOD MATCH '15 emblazoned on it, track pants, and standard-issue undergarments. All clothing has been tailored to the player's size perfectly and comes in a classy shade of steel grey.
- a small backpack which holds: three matches, a small canteen with a day's worth of water, and a day's worth of packaged rations
- a digital watch
- a booklet with all the character information cards in it
- a randomly assigned tool

The shuttle ride lasts for around half an hour, docking in a large garage. A friendly robot buddy will then guide each pair into their own elevator and a countdown will begin from 10. Once the countdown hits zero, the elevators will rise and the players will emerge in a shallow bay of what appears to be a volcanic island.

(OOC: Please update your character's info card with the ranking they would have likely received based on observation of their stay at the training facility. Rankings should be between 1-10.

Also, when starting a thread, please put in your header the following: ZONE # - TIME - AREA. This will hopefully make it easier for everyone to keep track of which character is where.)

[Once nightfall hits, it becomes bitterly cold - clearly unnatural for this climate, so Kyouya wasn't expecting it. He'd considered going inside without Jack and Mayu too dangerous - someone else could have claimed those cabins, and then they'd be in trouble. But it's cold enough that they have to risk it, and it will solve another problem, too, as the cabins will be an obvious place for Jack and Mayu to look for them.

In the meantime, with the doors to the cabin shut, he'll be trying to put together all the wilderness courses he took last week to build a fire.]

[AND IN STUMBLES TEAM MORON eventually... Jack may be carrying Mayu on his back as he'd been doing earlier, and is a little worse for wear than before. Still, he seems just as chipper as ever despite the frigid chill waiting for them in Zone 2 and the, you know. The whole murder thing that just happened.

But regardless of whether or not Kyouya's got a fire going by the time they get to the door, he'll be knocking first, too wary of traps to poke his head in even with the temperatures. He's hoping they'll be bumping into some familiar faces here, but he's ready to book it to hang out with the sheep if that isn't the case.]

Anybody home?

[Jack is chipper enough for the both of them - or he's going to have to be, because Mayu is pretty much deadweight on his back. Somewhere between leaving zone one and arriving here, she'd fallen asleep, maybe a little too easily for someone who's just helped commit a double murder. But eh, details.

What's probably more disturbing is the way she's mumbling in her sleep. Jack's life is unfortunate; he's probably had to put up with it for about ten minutes or so by now.]

Together forever... I'll always... wait. Mio... Don't ever leave me...

[You know, normal things for a teenage girl to talk about in her sleep. Nothing strange over here, nope.]

[He recognizes the voices, but Tamaki peeks outside anyway to make sure before opening up the door. Boy is he glad it's them.]

Welcome! Come in, come in. Get yourselves warmed up.

[He's actually managed to get a fire going. Kyouya's first merit badge is in the bag. Hearing voices outside is tense, until it's clear Jack and Mayu are here.]

Is she all right?

[He's not sure if she's just tired or hurt somehow, to have fallen asleep before they made camp.]

[To Tamaki first, with a cheery smile. Such a nice guy, that Tamaki!! But he'll step inside once the door is opened, careful with Mayu as he goes. She may be mumbling creepily in her sleep, but he still doesn't want to wake her...

He'll look over toward Kyouya when he speaks up, nodding once.]

Mmhm! She's just a little tired. It was a hard day for everyone, I think. [For some more than others...] Are you both all right?

We're fine!

[Closing the door behind him.]

There's a bed in here. I'm sure our sleeping beauty could use the rest.

[Nodding back at Jack.]

We haven't run into anyone else. Do make yourselves comfortable.

[Scooting on over to the bed to tuck Mayu in! He'll then sit on its edge, since it's still pretty dang cold in here even with the shelter and fire.]

What a nice find! We were getting ready to camp outside. [LAUGHS like that wouldn't have probably ended in one or both of them dying. Since they're still a bit damp from the downpour, freezing to death is something he had genuinely been concerned about.]

Oh— how are the two of you doing on food, by the way? I figured I could try my hand at finding something to eat tomorrow morning.

[Goes over to sit by the fire with Kyouya.]

We're all right. There's a little farm just outside. It's not much, but we have a little fruit left if you're hungry.

[Opening his bag to pull out a couple fruit.]

For you. Tomorrow we should see if we can find anything more sustainable, but it'll do for now. It's safe to eat, which is more than can be said for most of what's in the jungle.

..corpses.. in the jungle..

[Is that more sleeptalking? That's more sleeptalking. Carry on, friends... Mayu will probably wake up in my next tag...]

[GLANCING OVER AT MAYU what an alarming person, good lord... But still smiling!]

A farm? Haha, they're really testing out the contestants, aren't they? [But despite the statement, he still doesn't seem too bothered. In fact, his expression brightens a little when Kyouya pulls out the fruit, though it may be more for the overall kindness of the gesture than out of actual necessity. He's pretty good at rationing.]

Thanks for that, though! If I can catch anything good in the morning, we can all split it up. [Since he sure isn't a bad hand at fishing, and could probably take down a sheep if he really wanted to but the poor sheep.]

That sounds... nice...

[Slightly distressed by Mayu's sleeptalking, to be honest.]

[Ignoring Mayu's sleep talking. He already knew you two were crazy.]

Mm...I predict once everyone else gets the lay of the area, the farm will become more dangerous. Where were you today? What's that area like?

[The combination of voices and warmth from the fire is enough to rouse Mayu from her sleep - she stirs and starts to sit up as Jack finishes talking, brings up a hand to rub sleep out of her eyes as Tamaki speaks, and listens quietly as Kyouya questions them about their experiences.]

There are cliffs and mountains... and so many plants it's almost like a jungle. [It is a jungle, Mayu. Let's not mince words.] There's a canyon, and a river... it really feels like wilderness there.

[Ah yes, crazy nutbar sleeping beauty has rejoined them in the land of the conscious. Jack reaches out to ruffle her hair gently once she's sitting, though his attention largely stays on Tamaki and Kyouya. Tamaki just gets a vaguely apologetic smile...]

We spent most of the day there after we got off of that first island! But there isn't a lot of food and the terrain is rough and a little difficult to navigate through. It's not worth much for survival. [MURDER, ON THE OTHER HAND...]

Hmm, that's no good then...

[Tamaki yawns. It's been a long day.]

Then we have the western section, difficult to navigate. This section is wide open and rather pleasant, but deceptively so, I think. The sources of food, water, and shelter are limited, so it may become too strategic a position, one that draws competition.

I wonder what we might find to the east?

[He's tired as well, but it feels much too early and too cold to sleep, even near the fire. But still.]

I suppose we ought to take shifts to sleep in.

A lot of people are in the west right now... it would probably be best to look around the east before the others can get there.

[So starting early in the morning, maybe? She's not sure about these people's sleep schedule. Speaking of - she looks to Tamaki when he yawns.]

Do you want the bed? I can get up... I already slept.

[Jack's back was comfy.]

Do you want to go tomorrow, then? We can split up and pick different parts to check, and then reconvene.

[But since Tamaki looks the sleepiest here (Jack seems pretty wide-awake, all things considered - adrenaline, maybe), he'll stand up from the bed, too.]

Here! If it's too far away from the fire to keep you warm, we can just pile the mattress and blankets on the ground.

[He looks over at the bed. Boy is that tempting, to just drag it over by the fire and blanket burrito.]

Is that all right? You can wake me up whenever you need...

[Well, it won't look good if Tamaki takes the mattress from a girl, but for now it doesn't matter.]

By all means, take the first rest and make yourself comfortable so you'll actually get a decent amount. We'll wake you if anyone else needs to sleep.

It's okay. We'll do better in the morning if all of us are rested.

[It's hard to commit murder when you're sleep deprived, after all!! So she gets up from the mattress to give him some room to rest, and settles herself down to sit with her back to the wall by the fireplace instead.]

Sleep well... Suoh-san.

[Watch them all wake up in the morning huddled together for warmth.]

[Standing off to the side of the bed in case Tamaki decides to move it, since he is a delicate flower child and Jack assumes he may need help...]

Mmhm! We'll wake you up right away if anything changes, but sleep well in the meantime.
